Seafarers Legal Aid

Seafarers legal aid is a program by ISWC to provide assistance to Indonesian seafarers who are unable to afford legal representation and access to the court system. This legal aid is regarded as central in providing access to justice by ensuring equality before the law, the right to counsel and the right to a fair trial.

As most of Indonesian seafarers do not have much exposure about international maritime law and conventions and can not afford to have professional legal representation with regard to their pre-employment & post-employment cases, ISWC has formed this Seafarers Legal Aid Division which consists of team of professional Indonesian lawyers for the provision of legal advisor and representation for any legal case of ISWC' members.
